Our Staff
We are fortunate to have a highly skilled and experienced team. Due to our mixed age program, children get to know the same staff for two years. This supports relationships between children and educators, which is an essential foundation for learning and development.
Karen WATTS
KINDERGARTEN TEACHER: Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
With over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood field and many of these at Seaford Heights Preschool, Karen has a remarkable body of knowledge that she eagerly shares in her teaching.
Pre-school learning is pivotal in a child's development socially, emotionally and academically. Recognising the influential role a kindergarten teacher has in a child's life, Karen is driven to continually seek new information and extend her knowledge to achieve the best outcomes for children's learning and development.
Karen adores getting to know the children in kindergarten, watching them develop and learn. She is inspired and amazed at the skills children can master at such a young age and what they in turn teach her. Building relationships with families and the community is a priority and there is nothing more satisfying to Karen than seeing familiar families year after year and teaching all of their children.

LEENA CAMBUS
DIPLOMA OF EARLY CHILDHOOD
Leena has been working in the early childhood industry for over 5 years. Leena brings a huge passion for children’s learning and development to Seaford Heights.
One of the reasons why she wanted to be an Early Childhood Educator is her drive to provide children with care, love and safety.
She believes all children thrive in environments where they feel included and they belong, providing them with a strong foundation on which to learn.
One of the most exciting parts of Leena’s job is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, that then allows them take risks and develop new skills that in turn benefit their development.
One of the most treasured parts of her work is her belief that children can be our greatest teachers if we in turn take the time to understand them and nurture them in their growth.
